Front: Depiction of an eye. Around the edge of the coin are large Asomtavruli letters: ႫႤႴႤႧ/ႫႴႤ ႢႨ, meaning “King of Kings George.”
Original coin: King George VII (1393–1407), first coin, dated 1398.
Back: The Bagrationi royal coat of arms depicted on a coin minted during the reign of Erekle II in 1765–1766: crown, scales, orb, sceptre and sword.

The Giorgi VII / Erekle II silver pendant brings together two distinct eras of Georgian numismatic history into a single piece. The double-sided pendant draws inspiration from historical royal coinage: the eye symbol and Asomtavruli inscription from King Giorgi VII's 1398 coin, and the Bagrationi royal coat of arms from the reign of Erekle II.
While developing the design, we studied the graphic relief of both coins — the royal regalia, scales, sword, and the distinct rhythm of early Georgian epigraphy. Remaining faithful to these historical details, we transformed these monumental artifacts into an everyday accessory.
