The tradition of weaving in Georgia dates back to ancient times, while from the 17th to the 19th centuries, Tbilisi was one of the most important centres of carpet making. Bluetabla’s “Giorgobistve” Rug is a contemporary continuation of this rich heritage and Eastern-inspired ornamentation.
The design brings together the spirit of the grape harvest, golden tones of the harvest season, and traditional symbolism, turning the sentiment of autumn into a vivid visual collage. It is a piece that brings together ancient cultural memory and the warmth of home at your table.
