Qimerioni collection is dedicated to the early 20th-century Georgian avant-garde and its creative era. During this period, Tbilisi echoed European modernism: artistic gathering spaces emerged where creators united to preserve the authentic identity of Georgian culture.
One such space was Café Qimerioni, whose walls were painted by Lado Gudiashvili, David Kakabadze, and the Toidze brothers. Qimerioni served as a hub of avant-garde creativity and an artery of Tbilisi's cultural life, regularly visited by artist Elene Akhvlediani and other prominent figures of the time. Our piece, Qimerioni, is dedicated to this historic space.
