The Alpine Apollo is a day-flying butterfly- delicate and resilient. It soars over the high slopes of the Caucasus, from June to August, easily adapting to the harshest conditions. Its partner, the Woodland Grayling, flutters along Georgia's forest edges and slopes, often resting on tree branches and warding off predators with the prominent eyes on its wings.
