Tsikara
The "Tsikara" set illustrates a beautiful folk tale about inseparable friendship, self-sacrifice, and kindness. It is a magical adventure of a boy and his ox, Tsikara, who embark on a perilous journey to escape an evil stepmother. The tableware depicts the friends' flight to safety as they fend off pursuers using key objects from the story: a magical comb, a whetstone, and water.
The illustrations follow the plot to the moment Tsikara rescues the boy from a dungeon. A special place in this story belongs to a tiny mouse whose life Tsikara once saved. In return for this kindness, when Tsikara fell, the mouse found a way to bring him back to life, proving that loyal friendship and love are stronger than death.
Komble
The "Komble" collection tells the story of a kind shepherd named Komble, who protects his friends from predators and an unjust king with his famous wooden club (kombli). Each character is depicted with their unique traits: the cunning fox stalking the sheep, the wolf, and the greedy bear from whom Komble safely rescued all four of his sheep.
The drawings on the plate, cup, and bowl follow the story to the moment Komble recovers his money from a crafty butcher and, with the help of his magical club, punishes the cruel monarch to restore justice in the land.
Natsarkekia
The "Natsarkekia" set recounts the adventures of a man who seems lazy at first glance but is exceptionally sharp-witted. The illustrations trace Natsarkekia's journey from stoking ashes by the hearth to defeating a giant (Devi).
The collection features the story's main attributes: the hearth, the traditional cloak and bag (guda-nabadi), fortresses, and the soft cheese Natsarkekia used to trick the giant before chasing him far away. At the center of the collection, Natsarkekia sits victoriously atop the frightened giant, demonstrating that mental courage is more powerful than brute strength. It is a story of ingenuity, through which Natsarkekia not only found his own happiness but also returned to share his fortune with his brothers.
